Your Privacy and the MotoGP Impact Service
Introduction
The MotoGP Impact is delivered by Global E-Network Holdings PLC. Global E (us) collects and stores information about the users of the service (you). This policy describes how we at Global E store, use and protect that information. The aim is to make clear what we do and do not do with your personal data.
Global E is registered with the UK Information Commissioner as a processor of personal data under UK and European Data Protection legislation (Registration Number Z1180484).
The Information we collect
When you sign up for MotoGP Impact you provide us with information about you, where you live, date of birth, your interests and your email address. As you use the service, we collect information on your usage such as numbers dialled, where you login to the service (your IP address and its location) as well as when these events happen.
If you contact us by email or using the feedback form on the MotoGP Impact website at motogp.globaleplc.net we retain a copy of that correspondence to assist us in dealing with your query, and potentially to help us develop the service and or FAQs on the website to help other users.
If you top-up your account online so that you can purchase content or make phone calls to ordinary telephones, we record your name, the amount you paid, from which location (your IP address) and when. We do not keep details of any credit card or bank account used – that is used solely by our payment providers and is not stored by Global E.
Any instant messages sent by you pass through our servers before being sent onto the final destination – which may be either inside or outside of the MotoGP Impact network.
How we use the information you provide
Payments - When you use your account to purchase content, send SMS messages, make telephone calls or other chargeable activities, we deduct the amount spent from your account balance. You do not need to provide any financial information for this activity. Such data is only required at the point you add money to your MotoGP Impact account – top-up – and in any scenario, Global E does not see or store your bank, credit or debit card data (this is always handled by secure, 3rd party payment providers such as Paypal.)
Emails - We may contact you from time to time by email using the address you provided at registration. This will be to update you on the MotoGP Impact service, to advise of changes or new products and services. We do not pass your email address onto third parties. We may use your online activities to measure trends / patterns and preferences to tune advertising feeds on the website or in the MotoGP Impact software to present you with more relevant information. In any event, we will never pass on your name or address to a third party organisation without your permission, unless required to do so by law or local regulation.
Activity – as for your email address above, we may use your online activities to measure trends / patterns and preferences to tune advertising feeds on the website or in the MotoGP Impact software to present you with more relevant information. In any event, we will never pass on your name or address to a third party organisation without your permission, unless required to do so by law or local regulation.
Name and address – in using MotoGP Impact there is a formal relationship between you and us which is defined in the Terms and Conditions for the service (see the bottom of any page on the website at motogp.globaleplc.net). We need to know who you are and in what country you are normally based (whilst you can use the service anywhere there is an internet connection, we may need to advise local authorities of where you are based for legal reasons).
Language – we naturally ask for you to provide information on your preferred language. This affects the version of the MotoGP Impact software and website which are normally provided to you and may also influence the advertising sent into the website and software. Again, the aim here is to avoid sending you any irrelevant or incomprehensible information – making your MotoGP Impact experience as useful as possible.
Above all, we respect your privacy. Hence, we do not sell, copy, pass-on or otherwise provide your details to other parties unless identified above or explicitly required to do so by law, legal regulation or court order.
How we protect the information you give us
All information which identifies you as an individual user of the MotoGP Impact service is stored on the MotoGP Impact network in servers located in the European Economic Community.
